So you say. But then, who are you to say? Who are these so called "scientists"? What makes then an authority in regards to the "evolution theory"? I distinctly remember someone from this thread admitting "scientists" have got it wrong many times.

One can only go by the evidence one has. I have mine and you have yours. I have heard and read yours.

Easy. When it turns into a different animal is when. Why? Only the creator knows that one ;)

Years, sometimes decades, of research into evolutionary biology after years of training in science and in the methods of doing research.

Scientists in all disciplines get things wrong sometimes; the thing about the scientific method is that it's a collaborative process where scientists check and use each other's work, so mistakes tend to get caught.

    Your evidence is what, exactly?

Please define "different animal." Are the mosqitoes Anopheles gambiae, Aedes aegypti, and Culex pipiens the same animal or different animals? They aren't known to interbreed, they're vectors for different diseases, they're genetically dissimilar enough to be different genera, not just different species, but they're all mosquitoes.

How about Mus musculus and Mus caroli, two species of mice with more genetic divergence from each other than humans have from chimps? Different animals?

Well there you go. Shows how much research you put into your analysis. If you don't know the type of evidence I have by now, then you have done yourself a great disservice. *HINT* - I don't like repeating myself.

All the big talk and all the big words mean nothing, when it comes to basicality.

    Now that's very funny.

miracles == not yet define with science.

long-long ago... in king arthur age... merlin can see what happen in far-far away land... in common people will see this as miracles.

    now we called it television.

merlin can talk and see with another magician in far-far away land...

    now we called it 3G

remember star trek? that magically open door is very fascinating once, and now every building have it.

who knows, maybe later on we can actually talk with spirits.?

Yeah, I agree maverick...it's something that some people created which can now NEVER be undone...religion will never be abolished unless you destroy the people who believe in it and that's just out of the question...obviously you would never kill anyone for their beliefs, it's just wrong and people can believe whatever they want...even if it is total fking bs...

Religion is mind control used by beings who are in control of political economic systems/entertainment and all else based on stolen and repackaged information given to masses to brain-dirty them (as opposed to brainwashing=cleasing mind with detergent called...TRUTH.

    A thought-provoking inscription on a wall said,
    • "God is dead!" — Nietzsche ... followed by:
    • "Nietzsche is dead" — God

Or the little boy in the former Soviet Union who asked, "Mom, does God know we don't believe in Him?"

I just happened to come onto this site today for really the first time and somehow I came across the first post of this thread. As I read through many of the responses I felt really saddened to see so many people who have no belief at all in God. For me, God is life itself.

I was not raised as a Christian but became born again at the age of 32. I was in no way looking for God and was actually very shocked that He existed at all. I was in trouble in my life with drinking and marriage trouble and out of my desperation I simply cried out to God for help. I was amazed how He responded to me! SHOCKED in fact!

Since that day, now almost 20 years ago, God has been, and will always be the center of my life. I went through times of testing and many hard times but I have come to know a loving God and His Son Jesus Christ. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that I will spend eternity with God and that is a very reassuring fact to me. I have read through the Bible many, many times and I have never seen anything contradictory in it. Not which with some study coud easily be understood. I have also seen a few miracles happen which I won't bother to post here at this time.

I didn't come on this site to preach but having seen that post about "religion being a lie", I couldn't resist.

The truth is though most TRUE BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ will tell you, myself included, that we are not "religious" and do not believe in a "religion" but rather a relationship with a living God through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no doubt in my mind that not only did Christ die for our sins but that He truly was raised from the dead and lives forever more! Glory be to God!

Many of the people we see today who say they are Christian are in fact just part of a religion, that being Christianity. People like George Bush and Rush Limbaugh, Robert Schuller and so on. They say with their mouth they are Christians but deny Him by what they do. This is religion and I hate it as much or more than any of you and so does God. That I am sure of as it is what the Bible teaches and the reason why Jesus was so hard on the religious people in His time on earth.

It is my prayer that anyone who is truly an honest person will spend some time seeking the real truth for THEMSELVES and not listen to educated fools.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to us who believe it is the power of God unto salvation!" - Paul the Apostle

    In His love,
    Neil K.

Maybe they're experts because they study evolutionary theory and then spend years observing and experimenting in the field and the lab.

Of course. Experts in every field get things wrong on occasion. Why are you singling out evolutionary theory as having gotten it wrong? What proof do you have that the evidence from the countless observations that support evolution is flawed?

None of your evidence shows a problem with evolutionary theory.

What do you define as being a different animal? If you mean a species, I've already given you examples of that.

So you're claiming that adaptation is going to immediately stop at a certain point, but you have absolutely no idea what causes it and absolutely no evidence that it does in fact stop? Why are you asserting that it stops, then? This is a complete non-answer.

This is a really interesting post considering that there are some truths in it. I am really unsure about religion and really always have been. I guess I could say I am non-religious until I have proof otherwise. I feel bad about this but I guess I'm just one of those people. I wish I could just believe, but I can't.

I am always seeking the truth and the scientific reason behind things and even though there are holes in the evolution theory, it make more sense than the Bible.

    Dude, that's what religion is!!

It's just questions waiting to be answered by science. The evolution of our knowledge as sentient beings as we discover new things every day that lessen our need for religion is blindingly glaring proof of that. Faith just won't allow some to see it.
