If the Webmaster doesn't choose to get involved, D16, I respect his choice, and it changes nothing. Any reasonable person can see, in fact, you are lying, and that is a real shame for all of us.
If any reasonable person can see, where are they? Why are you and Grim the only ones that have an issue, and why do you keep trying to tell me what the meaning of what I wrote is? For the last time, I know what I wrote, Webmaster knows what I wrote, we settled it, and for some reason, you have to harp on Islam, when the subject was not even about Islam...what is your fascination with Islam, and me for that matter? I am through with this, because I refuse to keep arguing the same point, which is that I know what I wrote, it was not about Islam, and it will never be about Islam. Unlike you, I can let this go. I'm done.
I suppose they're having a slice and a pint for the moment, D16. I will let the chips fall where they may. Again, I am more curious about how much folks here care about the subject of intellectual honesty, than anything else. I can tell you - I have been in fights with folks before. I recount quite early on, having them with Wade, though we came through the other side; with Kalvin, with Stox, Menj1980, lately, Grab. I have never come across this level of subterfuge, and as weakly attempted, in my time here, as this unfortunate exchange has been with you. Please do not attempt to repeat your talking points again here. The reference is to the other thread, where people can evaluate for themselves.
Now come on, what's the point in discussing something so obvious, the thread and the arguement above, both.
Its more than obvious, the fact that d16 is still perusing this lie even till now is quite sad, weirdo.
Mehmet, so we know that our words matter, or they don't? When we write something, we are being truthful that they represent our actual point of view? That absent face to face encounters, in the milieu of this virtual nexus - where I can have an online conversation with a guy from Turkey, there is a reasonable presumption of honor in that what I am telling you, or what you are telling me, represents who we are, what we think, and how we feel? I get a good deal from online exchanges. I have come to learn from them in a way that cannot be afforded otherwise. In the absence of this presumption of intellectual honesty, we have nothing.
North, i believe you misunderstood me, you very well know the fact that this expression is used to refer Islam, plain and simple, you don't need others vote to know white is white just because someone else can't deal with an own mistake in another thread. I said that because i'd like to see your posts in real topics, which this isn't one, no offence.
I understand, Mehmet. Of course I know what the term was meant to mean in the other thread, and of course you're right: outside of my "leaving," probably the most ridiculous thing I could have come up with. In PM to someone last night, as I explained it, I don't know why it got up my craw to the extent that it did, except to say what has already been said - it isn't the substance of the debate, as much as how little people may give a damn about intellectual honesty on the forum. I see that beyond D16, and Grafstein, it appears two other people voted "no," I'm guessing, out of some kind of perceived loyalty to a "friend," or something like that. That anyone would, is telling, and disappointing, to me.
so you know what I was thinking when I said it? Please, tell me what I said, and how I meant it, since you know so much. Then tell me how to vote in the upcoming election, because you obviously don't think that I can think for myself. I didn't vote in a biased poll....you should have made it a public poll...are you going to say I am lying again??
I do not know what you mean when you name this "biased." Seems pretty straightforward - what's the consensus regarding your usage in the other thread. If you have a problem with the fact that so far, it appears most believe you aren't being straight, then perhaps you might have considered being straight from the beginning. I made it a private poll so people could feel free to vote on the merits, independent of personal feelings or "alliances," and other kinds of crap that have nothing to do with the question of honesty.
you poll states that either religion of peace is simply for islam, or not...it is biased. As a previous poster said it is a black/white issue...(not the exact words)...the term "religion of peace" in the context that I stated it (which was me saying "I thought this was a religion of peace?"), can be used for any religion, including Islam, but your poll makes it primarily (but not only) about hinduism and islam.
Well, not even really a nice try, D16. No, the purpose of the poll is made explicit in this thread - the poll is an opinion of your usage in the other thread. And now, as with your misrepresentation of Webmaster's thought in the other thread, your misrepresentation here of what Leo actually said, is precisely why I felt the need to make your methods known. Leo, if you are still viewing - this is precisely why.
Where did I misrepresent Leo? I have not even quoted him in any of my posts?? I did make reference to his black white issue post, but how did I misrepresent him? Leo, did I misrepresent you?? NoPoint, you really cannot handle this post, can you: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=5967340&postcount=16
As a point of honor, D16, I won't disclose my conversation with Webmaster. I'd advise you contact him, however, before proceeding any further.
Black&white issue i mentioned was about, not the poll having controversy or bias, but the question itself and the reason behind starting it, had nothing to argue about, according to me Paul is right. My last post under this, hopefully you guys too.
Then I misunderstood your post, and for that, my apologies... At least I can admit when I have misunderstood a post and can apologize for that. This is my last post under this topic, for the sole purpose of being done with what is a stupid issue that someone cannot give up. I leave with asking once again that people visit this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=5967340&postcount=16
I see you've got pals that are padding the poll, D16. To those who are doing this - and debunked, I really hope it isn't you, as I would hope you know I couldn't care less about being right as much as right itself is brought forward - it's a shame. Here's where I'm at - debunked, and anyone who thinks this is enough of an issue to warrant a thought or two, nothing's changed. I never care about winning; only that the truth is told. D16, I indicated I spoke with Webmaster. I am urging you to contact him, and offer you the opportunity to come clean.
north and I often have our disagreements, but i hope i never give him the opportunity to put me in my place as well as he did to d16 in this post.
