Religion in music??

I was listening to this band called The Black Summer Crush, and to my surprise, their lyrics are based on Harry Chrishna. I didn’t find out and I thought that was really awesome, and pretty interesting. And with a blend of the hard rock sounds, it adds a really cool fusion. What do you think of this way of fusing religion and rock?

I am pretty indifferent to religion mixing with music, and it does work fairly well within some cases depending on how it is utilized.

Preachy lyrics are a definite turn-off for me.

I'm cool with it if they don't lame it up. Alot of Christian rock I've heard tends to be pretty nauseating. But I've heard some that doesn't make me want to barf. I'm of the opinion that organized religion is for suckers, anyhow. I love "God" on my own terms, without church or music to make me feel like I'm paying my respects.

Really, we all pay respects to our God with how we choose to live our lives. We don't need music or anything else to tell us what's right and wrong. Most people with any common sense would know on their own anyway.
