Hello, I hope i am posting this in the correct location, I am currently trying to find a reliable ircd host. However every site i look at just gives me the feeling that it's some 12 year old running a company out of his basement. Any help in picking or even finding a reliable host would be great. Thank you.
Off hand I do not know of any identity that directly provides the service other then illegit ones such as hacking groups and as you said 12yr old boys with too much time on their hands... I host an IRCd (Unrealircd) with a few eggdrops on my associates network. If you want - PM me and I'll call up one of the network admins and see if I can get you a VPS 1mth free to host your ircd/site/whatever else. Just to try it out. DC is in the US - Texas, NC, FL, and Chi-town are your choices. The only rules concerning ircds on their network are a) no botnets b) no kiddie porn
