Reliable Hosting?

When I was a student I couldn't afford good hosting. For the past few years all my hosting has been terrible, downtime every day, crappy loading speeds etc.

But now I have a job and I'd really like to upgrade.

What I want is a reliable hosting provider (one that people know about, reliable and established, that everyone uses. Like HostGator, but not as expensive) for about $3.70/month.

I was thinking about iPage hosting:

    http://www.ipage.com/hosting-features

$3.50/month for Unlimited Everything and $50 Credit for Google AdWords, $25 Credit for Yahoo! Sponsored Search, $50 Credit for Facebook Advertising.

    Or JustHost:

    http://www.justhost.com/hosting-features#ic

$3.95/month for Unlimited Everything and $50 Credit for Google AdWords, $25 Credit for Yahoo! $25 Credit for Miva and $20 Credit for Bidvertiser. And a free domain.

But that seems way too good to be true.

Which is more reliable? iPage or JustHost?

How much disk space and Data transfer do you require?

I would recommend you to stay away from Web hosts offering unlimited everything... they can do overselling..

I'd say about 2GB data and 5GB bandwidth. Maybe a bit more bandwidth.

JustHost has had some good reviews, from what I've seen. I just can't tell if they're real reviews or paid reviews.

it seems all here are affiliates of some webhosting services and all of them are selling their own plan. Make proper research before subscribing

you were previously using something cheap / crappy, and looking to really splurge to upgrade to something reliable..... and your budget is under $4 / mo? I'm sorry, but that really doesn't add up. Reliable hosting will cost more than that.
