Reliability / usability of products sold on ClickBank

Can the members enlighten me as to how reliable and usable are the products sold on ClickBank? I'm not asking about any specific product, but generally. What is the general reputation of ClickBank products in public eyes? Somebody told me in private that many (if not most) of the ClickBank products are fraud and not of much use. Since I have not tried any of those products, I'm totally confused. I was interested to know this for deciding whether I should consider putting ClickBank referral links on my site. Thanks in advance.

People often refer to Clickbank as Scam simply because it's a digital downloads center and as we all know information can easily be interpreted wrong.

In reality Clickbank has some solid guides on various topics that are useful for it's range of customers/consumers and I'd like to give one solid example..

If you were to build solar panels on your own, were would you go about looking for information to help you throughout your project?

You'd be looking for an ebook .. Well then Earth4Energy.com would be just the thing you're looking for. I can't call that guide a scam but certainly there are enough individuals that wake up in the morning and think of becoming publishers .. and finally end up with some low-value ebooks that doesn't even sell..

The sales pages might look scammy though that's the whole marketing thing. And if you can't believe it, then those landing pages sell!

Thanks for the info. And, what about the products (such as some tech products, like so many registry cleaners, satellite TV, etc.) as contrasted with eBooks?

Will placing ClickBank ads on a general site, as contrasted with a specific site (landing page) designed exclusively for ClickBank ads, succeed?

The most important thing is getting targeted traffic. Placing an ad on a general site isn't going to convert well. After all, only a very tiny percentage of your visitors might be interested in the product, or even curious enough to click the ad.

Sending targeted traffic to a lander designed for that product is the best way to convert consistently.

Lots of junk and a few good programs. Some good software. The trick is figuring out what will work well for your own needs.

Check out the products you are intersted in. Then you will know for sure.
Some will work fine for you, others will work fine for someone else - and some won't work!

Probably the same reliability as products sold using PayPal, or products sold using eBay, or products sold using Plimus, or products sold using Nochex, etc.

It's all about looking at the individual product, not the method use to sell the product. Best bet is to buy it if you want to be sure! You can always get a refund if its rubbish.

It's good that you care about the quality and not wanting to make a buck regardless.

There are tens of thousands of them! What proportion of them do you think any one person who can offer you an opinion has studied, and how representative are individual views?

That's why the answers you'll get won't help you much. Just like anywhere else where huge numbers of products are sold, there are good ones and bad ones. And plenty of each!

Well, obviously enough, don't put any referral links to any Clickbank or any other digital product on your site unless you've first seen the product yourself!
