If I obtain a link from a directory, is it considered a relevant link if you are classifying it in the category that is similar to your site's content? Or are pretty much all directories considered to be off topic, regardless of your category listing? Thanks.
I don't think anyone can answer authoritatively, but from what I know about they way search engines think, you should look at the other links on the same page of the directory where your link will be. If all the links are to pages that are on-topic then your link should by rights be considered relevant.
Directory not passing link juice now ... and also very low quality.. if its payed then good... so better do not waste time for it.. forum is better than directories....
i think u can buy a few quality backlinks from a big companys and trusted and u can see a good pagerank on next update
Niche well-maintained directories can be useful, especially those where you need to email the webmaster to get your site listed (i.e. no submission form).
While submitting your link in a directory, take little care about category. Then only you can build relevant links.
