If you have trouble getting relevant ads on your web page you might want to try section targetting of your page: Adding the following html tags emphasizes a page section: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> content blah blah <!-- google_ad_section_end --> Link - https://www.google.com/support/adse...3168&sourceid=ASO&subid=en_asblog&medium=link
Don't get your hopes up regarding section targeting. My experiments have resulted in no significant improvements. Your mileage may vary, however. Maybe it takes more time than I allowed -- a few days.
hmmm.... I tried that and it's been 2-3 days now and it still giving me unrelated ads. So, do you put that in all the phrases you don't want ads to show or just do it in one phrases and that should take care of the whole page?
"it may take up to 2 weeks before our crawlers take into account any changes you've made to your site"
This is correct - but I've seen improvements over time thanks to this tool. However, I had real issues with the code staying in place a few times on php driven dynamic sites. I ended up placing several sets of tags and hacking around some of the php issues - a pain - but the revenue went up as a result.
I agree. Ive not had much luck either using those tags. But you can go in to your adsense account and delete certain ads you don't want to be shown, which could possibly have some ads that are more closely related to your site shown. No, but there are tags that you can use for this. CJ
I've had success with this method in the past. I think it depends much on the site's content and keywords. If google doesnt have any ads related to the text/content you put into the tags, it will display ads related to the rest of the content on the site. But I could be wrong.
