I am currently link building for a page about the phrase "home evaluation". So, I'm going through what I usually do, searching google for relevant pages and then attempting to get links on those pages and the pages that yahoo lists as linking to them. Normally, I go about my business... but this phrase is really weird in google. When I google "home evaluation" (no quotes obviously), I am getting a lot of pages that are completely not relevant to the term... however, google obviously feels that they are relevant or they wouldn't list them first. Should I avoid the sites that google is showing for my term because I know that they aren't relevant or because google thinks they're relevant should I go ahead and start my link building? Thanks for the input in advance.
The results look pretty relevant to me. "Real Estate Valuations, Homes for Sale, Free Real Estate ..." "Home and House Values, Property Evaluations, Real Estate House ..." Google appears to be doing some major stuff with pagerank and backlinks. Maybe you are getting data from a datacenter that is not showing updated and complete results. If you don't think the sites are relevant, then avoid getting backlinks on the sites. Better safe then sorry, atleast until Google finishes whatever it is doing.
As far as i understand that is technically two different keywords... ex. "home evaluation" vs. home evaluation I will be removing authority sites from the results that may not have the two words together on the page, right?
