    Indirectly Yes

    Read: http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html

As stated by Google, pages with a higher pagerank are more likely to appear at the top of the search results. And we all know the higher up our listings appear the greater the traffic.

Pagerank is not based on traffic statistics, but mostly the number and quality of incoming links to that specific page. Since the number of incoming links and their quality can be easily manipulated (paid links, etc.), there is a sub-economy of link buying/selling. This is why Google is trying to curtail link sales.

But if your site has a higher PR, then any new pages in your site that get a link from a page with a high PR will automatically get link juice and higher serp. Correct?

If that is so, it is a big deal to get pages with high PR. Why? To help serp for other pages in your site and/ or network of sites. When you get a backlink from a high PR site/ page, it boosts your serp.

    Right????

    You are correct.

    You are correct.

Google's internal pagerank is updated daily. As Google discovers links to your site, your pr will be adjusted.
