    Hello,

I'd like to know about "related:www.mydomain.com" command. What can I do for my site in order to get a result of this command?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
I know what the query means. What I don't know (and that's why I opened this topic) is what can I do to get pages that are similar to my site?

Or should I just wait for Mr. G find something similar to my sites?

    Thanks

    Edited :

    For instance :
"link:" is Pages that link to your site's front page. What should I do? Get backlinks
"site:" is Indexed pages in your site. What should I do? Submit a sitemap
"related:"is Pages that are similar to your site. What should I do? I don't know.

I thought I might help you out until my search showed zero results. I wonder what that means?

    Strange isn't it?
Some of my sites do have related pages but most of them don't.
And not all that related pages are exactly similar to my sites themes.

Ho do google get these pages?

The appearance of related sites depends on google indexing those other pages (not part of your site), analyzing them and deciding that their content is related to yours. If your site's pages are indexed, maybe the problem is that the pages of the other sites aren't. If pages on both sites are indexed, the problem is that google's analysis did not come up with a relationship between each site's content. You have no control over the other site's content (I assume) and therefore cannot do anything about it. You could try and relate the content of your website more closely to other site's content. You will then have to wait for google to notice the changes. However, I'm not sure what your goal is. Why do you care about the related results? Maybe you're trying to launch more than 1 site and would like to dominate the topic by owning most results? If this is the case, I would focus on keyword rankings, since these produce the best results.

Thanks a lot NoamBarz! That's exactly what I need to know.
Just out of curiousity really, why would google make such query if it has no use whatsoever... at least that's what I'm thinking.

This feature is offered by google for research purposes, I think. If you're researching a topic, you'll want to know all there is to know about it. If, for example, you're conducting a research on Microsoft, you'll want to find Microsoft's website, its cempetition, press releases and so forth. The related results will give you exactly what you need.

Ok, so I just learned something. Google sends you an e-mail of where www.yoursite.com is located. Kind of cool but i deleted it so i don't get that spam mail everyday.
