Rejected by eBay - don't know why?

I applied to eBay with my new site http://witchcraftvideos.com and got rejected:

"Thank you for applying to the eBay Partner Network. We regret to inform you that we cannot accept your application at this time.

Like many other affiliate programs, eBay Partner Network has a thorough application vetting process to ensure a good fit between a potential affiliate and the goals of the network. There are a number of reasons why your eBay Partner Network application may have been declined. Some of these include:

    * You are not in compliance with the eBay Partner Network Agreement and/or Code of Conduct.
    * The stated website that you plan to promote us from is non-functioning or inaccessible
    * The quality of your stated website is not in line with our network standards
    * The information you submitted in your application (contact information and your description of how you plan to promote eBay Partner Network) is incomplete or unclear
    * Your business model or stated website does not appear to be one that would attract eBay buyers (the eBay Partner Network does not currently provide commissions for bringing eBay sellers or listings to the site)
    * Your business model involves re-directing traffic directly to eBay from display ad networks or paid search (no longer allowed per our Terms and Conditions)
    * Your business model involves a sub-affiliate model (no longer allowed per our Terms and Conditions)

If you feel that your application deserves a re-review, please forward any additional information that you would like us to consider to our Customer Support Team. It is not necessary to submit an additional application with a different email address. Requests that contain no new information about your promotional methods will not be reconsidered.

    Thank you,

    The eBay Partner Network Team"

Does anybody have an idea why my application was denied?

    Thanks,
    vahing

I have seen eBay denying a lot of applications on first submission. You can wait a few days and try again. I didn't check the site's content but make sure it is all unique and very informative. They tell all of their affiliates that they only want affiliates to send traffic that they wouldn't get anyways. Lots of unique and informative content.

I know of a guy that helps folks get accepted into EPN. PM me if you want details from him. Nobody can GUARANTEE you acceptance, but what he does offer is to keep working with you until you are finally accepted. He has helped hundreds of people get accepted and knows some EPN staff personally. Like I said, PM me if you are interested. I have contacted him to make sure he was available and he said indeed he was.

I think the problem might be that your site is just a lot of youtube videos and doesnt have any unique content.
My advice is to get a few more domain names and put some content on them, dont just stick the usual wordpress blog on it but try and find some html or php templates and actually create some content.
Then when you re apply to EPN list ALL your sites and verify them ALL.
Then you can say in you application that you have many sites covering different topics and will be promoting ebay on most of them depending on the suitability.

I did this and got accepted first time, some of my domains I listed just had the hosting company welcome page and no site.
1 was a wordpress blog about iphones and another was a half finished html site.
You need to show you have good unique content.

And make sure your domains 'whois' data is the same as your EPN application data, i.e. name, address, email, phone number.

Valdor is spot on. It seems that once in a while you'll get a reviewer that actually checks the sites, but most of the time if they just see that you have sites listed, they'll accept you.

This definetly is one of the biggest requirements they look at.

They state that you don't need to apply for a second time with a new email adress, and just use the old email but with new information about the promoting and sites you have built. Has anyone been accepted from the second try, I was rejected at first, too.

The biggest problem with this is that they don´t actually specify why you were turned down. They just send you a list which covers every problem under the sun.
If they said for example "your site has been rejected because of unoriginal content" then you could do something about it.
    Try Amazon instead.

Resubmissions usually work after a few days. It is just to filter through all the BOTS.

Ebay has changed their rules again
They want to see a website or blog with active discussions, followers etc to ensure it has value added to it. So - get some followers and get a RSS feed there. If there are comments, make sure they are approved and appear there in your blog comments.
As usual, do some SEO off page like backlinking, etc to make it a useful and informative blog. Tell ebay you are using natural traffic to get visitors to the site.
Don't give up...they expect you to give up after several rejections to gauge your level of commitment.

I think eBay always reject those new to them without reason. It is becoming harder to start business with them, no matter you want to raise a store or join their affiliate program.
