We'll give a try. Maybe the other editor in the other category has a different website taste.

Exactly, you hit the nail with the hammer that time. A few weeks ago there was an ODP editor here pretty much saying a site was being rejected for its aesthetic design. Obviously one guy might think the design is ugly while the other thinks it's great - it's all down to personal perspective.

How long have you submitted to dmoz,i would suggest you submit your site to other directroies,do not waste your time with dmoz,it is very hard to be accept by dmoz right now.

It will get shunted to the most appropriate category, that means delay. We don't just list whats in front of us, we know where sites belong or we would not be editing in that section.

I don't follow what you are saying. If sites are not accepted or rejected, or if applications are not accepted or rejected, then what terminology should be used for acceptance & rejection?

    Aw....did Bohol go boo-hoo?

Anyway. Here's the deal IMO: taking rejection in DMOZ personally is basically a path to suicide. If I had been offended by every time I was rejected I'd have thrown my sad carcass under a bus long ago.

Luckily, a kind soul explained I was submitting to the wrong category. When I submitted to the correct one I was added in less then 3 days (if memory serves.)

So, try again and feel fortunate if you succeed. If you don't, there are plenty of other ways to promote your site.

Are you sure that this category is the proper one? Have you checked and compared sites listed directly under News and Media cat with your?

Tip: finding the best place /not the wanted one/ can increase a lot the speed of your listing.

At the time when site was submitted for several times for months last year, content was updated several times daily, at this time some content is updated daily some not. I submitted 3 blogs dedicated to 3 Sports Stars (one of them is a new rising Tennis Star with no other listings) that are updated daily or every second day (there are tennis blogs listed in DMOZ that have not been updated in years, some not in last 5 years), but they have not been listed.

    Still lost, sorry.

Dont understand you - dont you provide actual information? What this match between ManUtd and Middlesbrough will be? Not date, just Saturday?

Being surfer I expect to find up to date information. Will never visit this site again.
Being and editor who can edit there...first - without looking deeply will move your site to more proper category. If I look at it in deep...will note to be checked again very carefully after some time, because of this information.
In both cases this site wont be listed, and will wait, and wait...Have in mind that I am not Sport editor - experienced editor may have more comments.

So to quote you - not allways 1+1=2, not in my calculation.

    Regards

At the time when site was submitted, the mentioned sub-domain had exact hours, dates and else that offered some of the most comprehensive match previews online, still can be seen the Rounds when games were played, current temperature in home-clubs' cities etc.
