regular website backups

How many of you guys back up your website on a regular basis? I don't. Not all of them at least.

Is there some piece of software that would take multiple FTP credentials and automatically back up all the content from the FTP website. It would be nice for it to be smart so it wouldn't download stuff that didn't change.

It would be extra nice if it could do MySql DBs somehow.

If anyone would share their experience on the matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, you can use your cPanel to back-up all your files including your database.

Yeap 'home directory' back up for all files and 'MySql DB Backup' for Database through cpanel is best option.

I back up my main website(s) database once every 2-3 weeks, just takes a minute and it'll save me a lot of time if something happens to my site.

    Regular backup is good thing.
Take at least once in a week back up of your site.
So in future if problem arise then backup files are most useful.

Learned that lesson first time around, when I lost my very first site and couldn't find my one and only back-up
after the small hosting company went out of business.

just go with a full backup in cpanel, if its another control panel then you will have to look or ask your host about it. :)

I have scheduled backups twice a week to keep my sites and DBs safe. Check out my signature for the tool I use. It works smooth and it offers me peace of mind.
