hello everyone, we currently run a niche specific website that is very established in our niche field, however, we would like to take over some more search engine keywords.

i am wondering if registering a weird tld like .fm or .tm is beneficial for this?
using our established site to help establish the new domain which is on a weird tld

would this help our search engine ranking for the new keyword which is on a weird tld ?

If you are making new site just for the new keyword and linking to it from old site it should help. If site is compatable and is not duplicate content it should wrok out fine.

yes, the keywords are closely related to one another, but one search word does not pop up the other search word in results in search engines

so, it is a good idea?

are otherr country tld's 'devalued' by google indexing, etc?

As far as I know, Google doesn't devalue an extention because it's not a .com or .net. I've seen .info, .us in the 1st page of Google as well
