    When I purchase a domain, should I register the domain with the same company I bought it from or with a different hosting company and if so, why?

    As far as I know it doesn't really matter. I have hosting with hostmonster and buy domain names wherever I can get them at a good price.
    I can think of only 2 reasons to stay with one company;

    *you don't want to change DNS servers (which only takes 30 seconds)
    *you don't want to deal with multiple companies should anything go wrong

    Hope that was helpful.

    You can do as you want. Both variants are possible. In any case that is not recommended to keep all eggs in the same basket

    Either way is fine. Some people buy their domains from a separate company like namecheap rather then their hosting company because it's easier to move your domain if you end up switching hosting companies.

    You can adopt either of the method and suit yourself as per your convenience and affordability. I find no significant advantage or disadvantage between the two... especially if the service providing companies are trustworthy and reliable! :)

    It depends up to you, you can purchase domain from any domain registrar if you want. GoDaddy.com and Name.com are currently considered as one of the top websites in providing domains worldwide at great cost due to unlimited coupon codes

    No need to register the domain with the same company its up to you, which is better you can make decision by your self

    It is best to register your domain somewhere else, not in your hosting company. If your host disabled your account and ignored your email, say goodbye to your domain. It already happened to some webmasters.

    It is better for your domain and hosting to be separate so that if your hosting company screws up then you can easily transfer.
