Registering a .ca?

I usually register my domains with godaddy ($1.99).... But unfortunately they don't offer .ca's.

Where would be the best and cheapest place to register a .ca? Also, would I be able to host my .ca purchased elsewhere with godaddy?

I've never used Godaddy for hosting so I'm not sure about hosting there but with most internet hosting companies you can host any domain with them, so would think so...

I think its stricter in canada and they want you to live in canada to register a .ca

 

I can confirm that yes, you need a Canadian address to register a .ca domain....
