Registerfly - What's your opinion?

I've seen people that love them and people that hate them. What's your opinion if you have one?

Personally, I think their service can be flaky at times, and their online tech support is always super slow, but the customer service once you get to the right person is worth it (hint: support tickets have never been worth it for me, I've always had to use live chat or phone support to get results).

Recently, I renewed around $80 of domains that were expiring, and all of the renewals failed after something like 14 days due to problems on registerfly's side. Once I finally got someone on live chat, all of the domains were renewed for me, and the $80 of credit was left in my account, which I thought was pretty cool. $80 of free domains is never a bad thing :)

they are terrible. I've had customers wait over a week for dns changes to propagate.

You pay for what you get.
With that said, I think that registerfly is worth it. Whenever I had a problem, they've always fixed it.

Yep, you do get what you pay for, but I think when they run their $0.60 .info specials you get just a tad bit more than you pay for lol

    Damn, I love $0.60 .infos...

I like 'em. They have a good interface, and I've been consolidating my .com's with my .ca's under one roof. That's nice!

I've never got anything beyond domains from them, so service for me is not too complex.

they are utterly terrible beyond all comparison.

They are utterly cheap too - buy domains from them sure, but anything else is asking for trouble.

They don't read support tickets replies - if they ask you for more info on a problem, you can be sure that they will not look at your reply

They send you links to features that should be automated, but simply don't work

I have opened 4 support tickets about my current problem with them (over 4 weeks) and have still not got a reply that solves my problem. They have got my money, and are not providing the service that their website states takes hours. They keep asking for the same information (my domain) that I have already given them, yet can't seem to read my replies on the support system

Can you get a refund..... no chance......
The live support people just cut me off when I asked how I get one

I really dislike them. I joined them in 2004 when they still accepted paypal and only liked them for that. Now they removed their only good feature.

Most of the time i couldn't even login because they kept changing their system and their support never seemed to work so that was annoying.
And then other sites their site was too slow or just didn't load up at all. I still had that problem a month ago when i transferred my last domain i had with them to namecheap.

i still get warning emails from them for domain names i have that have expired a year ago or that i have already moved. It got so annoying and pointless that i ended up marking all of their emails as spam.

They have a truly crappy service in my opinion and I will never use them again.

Hundreds of domains registered under this registrar services for the last 4 years says it all.

I like this service over any other, and bear in mind if have dozens of other domains registered elsewhere, from resellers club members to godaddy
And yep, they accept PayPal, Moneybookers, eGold, check, and even Google cashout

Horrible! I have two domains registered thru them only because i bought them from someone else. The last problem with them was when I renewed a domain and the stil lsent me emails saying it was going to expire!

I had to get on the phone with them and even then it took three days to show the update .......... aholes are only an hour away from me and if they dont watch it Ill drive down there and explain life to them!

    Stay away!

Registerfly.com sucks big time. avoid them at any cost.
Its my personal experience with just 1 domain and had a tough time just renew my domain and retain myself as owner. Finally a rep from RF on WHT helped me resolve the issue after soooo much complaining on various forums.

Avoid them. transfer away any domains you much in advance.
