After dropping Paypal payments in August 2005, Registerfly has just announced the availability of this payment method:

This option will enable people to get real discounts registering domains as cheap as 60-75 cents per INFO domains, Registerfly renewals as low as $6.99, transfers $3.75-$3.99, UK domains $4.95, NET domains $2.50-$2.75

That's great, yesterday I was going to renew a domain I have hosted with them but noticed they didn't take paypal so I was going to transfer it to godaddy today. Thanks for the info.

Hey. DONT USE REGISTERFLY. You will get in troble, they charge to much on your CC, their bulk tools is very often not working, they lie, they steal domains and so on. They cannot be trusted at all.

    Interesting reading: http://registerflies.com/

I have over 200 domains registered at Registerfly for about 6 years and I have never have any problem that I could no resolve through their support service.

Several months ago a change of administration occurred and my CC was charged twice for hosting due to a bug in the new system, however after clarification they refunded the money.

I can't find any bad experience to talk about Registerfly, Dynadot, and Domainsite, thing that I could not say about GoDaddy, not so good or cheap register, but still having names registered in there.

Yes, this is what they tell you. The fact is that this is happening frequently, and its not related to "new systems".

That you had to reslove problems through their support service says it all. Its domain registering, domain registering is very easy, there should not be a single problem.

Indeed, I know is not a single problem and many people have faced this and other situations.

Just wondering why they cannont get the problem resolved. They said it was a bug, refunded me the money and I have not experienced again the same issued.

In other occasion a domain expired because I was unable to renew due another system problem, hence another guy snatched it up. However, I explained the problem and support renewed manually the domain and got back my domain in matter of a few hours.

And probably this is not either a single case in which a customer receive prompt attention and solutions.

If another guy snatched up the domain because you couldnt renew it Registerfly could not legally just transfer it back to you. Registerfly either did something illegal or it was them who snatched the domain in the first place. Normally it would be Registerfly who snatched the domain.

Nah, the illegal situation was in the othe side of the story.

I was unable to renew due to Registerfly's system refusing to process my order. The domain automatically expired, but after expiration you have 30 days period of grace in which you can still renew it at the same price. Later goes for another 40 to 60 redemption days before its complete deletion, enabling people to snatch it or re-register it.

Who got it just a few hours after its expiration did something illegal to skip the full procces that all registrars do. Registerfly simply applied the clause that allow ENOM determine that such domains was still mine, bearing in mind both, I submitted the renewal timely (but not processed) and even failed, the domain was entering in redemption/period of grace.

    Dear Friend Basedsolution,

Will registerfly deduct the price of my domains from my CC added in the Paypal or the Paypal fund ?
And I couldn't find this discount price anywhere in the registerfly you mentioned here.

How to get the discount ?

    Thanks.

    Naah.. Wudnt recommend registerfly

Had to wait for 2 weeks to get a refund on a domain they could not register.

Their live chat has no clue about why the domain could not be registered.

For a man with no time for such petty issues, stay away from registerfly.

Gray/Blue reputation is obtained through people who support your saying but are newbies to rank as green.

And I should say I have a few hundreds of domain names registered at Registerfly with no major trouble for 4 years now.

As happened to BasedSolutions, I had 2 CC charges for a hosting service I never requested past August, but after submitting a support ticket, the money was refunded in full in less than 24 hours.

However I fully understand why most of you people love the crappy, unsupported and not so-cheaps services of registrars such as GoDaddy

Ok, 4 of the 9 people in this thread had to much money drawn from their credit card, another one had problem getting refund.

Do you see a pattern or not ?

Well, I believe I can see a pattern, but need to analyze it a little bit before spread it out so we can get the answer why this is occurring to some people and not to others.

Wondering also about another fact, the manners... in the way of asking for help, the situation may change.

I have also dozens of domains at GoDaddy because is not good having all the eggs in the same basket, but their support service is the worst I have ever tried (having other 4 services apart Registerfly)

However, I never send my questions to GoDaddy stating "damn b@#rds you should attend me via email", I try to be nice every time and even when I hate to wait Godaddy's response, they do it courtly.

Perhaps this apply with Registerfly as well, you cannot go directly to say "hey damn thieves, gimme back my money", as introduction to your claim.
