Not sure this is the best section for this but just want to mention that I smell a rat (called Kevin Medina) Registerfly.com has just rebranded as regfly.com I feel Medina is upto something yet again checkout registerflies.com (a registerfly / regfly complaint site)
Sorry for opening a thread from last year, but it serves my purposes and is a great way to get the message out to others who might be affected by the thieves at RegFly. I was one of the poor saps who used Registerfly before all the problems, wrote about it here http://www.morearnings.com/2008/02/07/registerfly-and-credit-card-payments/ If you read my post you'll see after my 70 odd domains got transferred to Godaddy and eNom (had to pay for 2 domains to be transferred through Nominet as had no access to them!) my Registerfly/Regfly account was left with ~$320 in it. I've tried through multiple tickets and emails to get this money refunded, but they refused to give a refund. Best I got was I could use the $320 to buy RegFly products, but no refund. Been meaning to start a chargeback, but being busy so haven't done it yet. Earlier this week I logged into the Regfly account to find a balance of $0.00, at first thought, finally they've refunded my money. So checked my credit card statements and found no payment. Made a ticket asking what happened to my balance and RegFLy responded- Responses from Customer Support [2008-06-12] This was money from the former corporation. You will need to reach out to them to work this out as we have no control over this. What the !!!!!! So they have stolen my $320 and blamed it on RegisterFly! You go to registerfly.com and it redirects to regfly.com. I log into Regfly using my Registerfly details (been able to do this for months) and up until last week I had a $320 balance and can see a list of the domains I had registered with them. Some emails from RegFly mention Registerfly. So there's no doubt in my mind that RegFly is the same as RegisterFly. Now for the reason I'm opening this thread back up. I warned them if I did not receive a full refund by this evening I'd go out my way to fill relevant RegFly SERPs like- RegFly cheap domain names RegFly affordable web hosting RegFly transfer RegFly web blogger RegFly lowest ssl certificates RegFly free privacy protection RegFly site builder RegFly email RegFly business solutions With negative, but truthful pages. I didn't get a refund, but they have suspended my RegFly account, interestingly sent their risk email an email about this and it bounced! This is the email they say to email when your account is suspended. So I plan to use my SEO skills to swamp RegFly SERPs to teach this company a lesson. OK, things go wrong, but you don't blatantly steal money from customers! If you do a Google search for RegFly you'll find this DP page listed in the top 20, so rather than try to displace a RegFly relevant page from Google (I don't want to hurt DP) I'm adding some more relevant information (all true) and will add some links to this page to increase it's Google rankings (would be great to see this page top 5). I know from the comments on my site that I'm not the only person to be left in a position of money being held by RegFly, though I've not had anyone say they have lost money (like I have) yet. If you've lost money would be interested to hear about it either here or at http://www.morearnings.com/2008/02/07/registerfly-and-credit-card-payments/ Since they have stolen my money now I'm going to be starting a chargeback later this week and will update this thread if I get a refund. Ya i had a friend who had quite a few domains with register fly, got them all back luckily but took like 3 months. Such a crappy company. Here is a review he wrote about them awhile back http://thefixed.org/reviews/registerfly/
