I'm forming an LLC in Florida, where I live. It will be a single-member LLC that will be used for all the web sites I currently own. I want to cover my butt if something happens. In the Articles of Organization papers, it says a Florida LLC must have a Registered Agent. It says the LLC cannot act as its own Registered Agent. I am confused though... can I as an individual (not the LLC) be my own Registered Agent even though I will be the sole managing members of the LLC? If not, I will need to find a Registered Agent Service. Does anyone have any recommendations? Like Legalzoom.com, but I think they're expensive.
