Registered a .fm domain and wow!! Pricey

Have an idea w/ a .fm domain and registered it via GD, was $69.95. Holy cow. Realize its a specific niche and industry with most being a radio/streaming type of domain, but wow. Used to paying $10/domain with a .com or maybe cheaper, but $70/domain?

Federation of Micronesia who registers that makes a killing.

 

Yeah, they are REALLY expensive...and it's still possible to find premium .fm's because most squatters aren't buying them in massive amounts. I think last.fm really built that domain extension up.

I highly doubt that you could get a .fm for $10, were at did you see this?

 

I think it is the same with .ca domains too. they are really expensive and preiem names are still available for the same reasons someone mentioned in an earlier post
