I think Registerfly is the only registrar I've ever had a problem with.

    - Screwed up transfers.

    - ProtectFly not working--WHOIS shows real info.

    - Replies from support take a long time and never contain anything useful.

The one thing that really annoys me, and I'm still not sure if it's a scam or incompetence, is with the $3.99 transfers. I've yet to have one go through, because they don't actually initiate them.

Here's what happens every time: It fails & I contact support. They reply one day after the sale ends, with the suggestion, "Should be okay now, you can try again at the regular price." The last time, they replied like a week after it ended with, "We had a problem with the backend. Should be okay now." It's not.

    Hi,

Rightnow i'm also suffering a lot with registerfly due to change of nameservers details for the domain. I got registry error since last 4-5 days and they told me in their first support ticket that problem get solved but still no solution. Everyday i post one support ticket since last 4 days and there is no reply from them. :(

lol, Whenever I see a thread about RegisterFly (on any webmaster/domain forum) it's always about how crappy they are. That's when you know to stay away.

So far NameCheap has been great for me. They responded almost immediately when I emailed a request to cancel a name I had just registered because I wanted to get another I had since found. I don't know of any registrars that would do that at all, much less quickly.
