Regarding redirect pages

Hi,

I have old site, i have change URL of some sites, old pages are already in Google cache, now my new pages are also cached, i have added old pages in robots.txt and Google webmaster tool

So i have to redirect old pages to new page?

Or we don't need to do that? Its must required or we can ignore it

If the old pages are still driving good traffic, then you should do a 301 redirect on your old pages to the new ones..

 

You will lose some link juice using a 301 redirect, but as said above, if your old pages are still active then it's worth it.

 

yes if your old page rank better then new one the use 301 redirect technique to redirect your visitors otherwise no need to do anything ..

 

If the old pages have rankings you should setup a redirect.

 

301 redirect only the solution. Not a problem, just put 301 redirect old page to new page. The credit will goes to the new page. From now onwards you should optimize & work on your new links. There should be a minor changes will happened in the rankings with this process. Shortly you can cover rankings with quality link building.

If old pages have good ranking & related to new pages then 301 redirect is recommendable. Otherwise you can just leave them or redirect to custom 404 page.
