i have a site and i have done some link exchanges. i have a link page where i store all my completed link exchange links. say for ex:i have a site www.xyz.com can i attach my link page with the domain url say www.xyz/linkspage.htm or should i places the links page somewhere else?
I would recommend focusing more on creating unique content that is relevant to your niche. Google is more impressed by this than how many sites you are linked to on some obscure, irrelevant link exchange page. Also, from what I understand, Google is only interested in what sites are linked to you, not how many you are linked to. As for the technical aspect of your question; Yes, you can create a "www.yourdomain.com/linkspage.html" by simply placing the linkspage.html file in the same folder as your index.html folder.
Agreed. Worry more about building up your content and posting comments on relevant industry blogs with your url included. That will be better use of time in my opinion especially for a new site.
