Regarding Pay-Per-Play

What is everyone's opinion on this program?

Personally, I think the model would work, assuming they have a legit company backing them with the finances to start up. I don't see 5 second audio ads being a problem for visitors. Short and sweet. If anything, banners would bother me more. Advertisers are getting what they want. In fact, after hearing a sample audio ad from Burger King, i actually went there to buy a burger. It would be a good form of monetization for sites. Something other than adding more visual advertisements.

There are a few things that just don't make sense though. Why haven't they released banners yet? Why haven't they announced the search engine behind it yet? Why are they closing the affiliate program off to new members soon?

A part of me wants to promote it heavily, and the other part of me is skeptical. What do you guys think?

Well they have over 6 million websites signed up already. No banners are needed as they have affiliate links. They said that they would unveil the search engine towards the end of this month I think. After they get enough websites then they won't need to reward for referrals. I hope this helped. They look like they are about to blow up pretty soon. They remind me of Brring.com. Audio ads are whats missing from the internet and they'll soon fill that gap up.

I totally agree with you all, I have had a thread going in the Adsense section of DP for the last week about this, and it has been the cause of a large debate.
