    Hi All,

I am an advertiser from India. I am about to open an Adwords acc, would like to know what currency should I choose under " I wish to pay in " tab. Should it be Indian Rupee(INR) or USD?

Also if there is someone from India reading this, Please let me know if adwords allow values like 0.47 or say 5.29 NR or do we have to transact in multiple of 0.45 only.
[As Adwords has fixed Minimum cost per click (CPC): 0.45 and up for INR, so here we assume they have fixed the conversion rate as $0.01 = INR 0.45]

As I am new to adwords, I don't know the repercussions it can have later thats why I am asking this question.

There is no difference in what currency you are going to pay, you are not going to benefit you pay in USD or INR.

The only difference is, that if you pay with currency of country where you live you will be able to set-up Direct Debit with you debit card, if you want to pay with other currency then the only option is to use a credit card.

I would like to share with you my personal experience.
My currency is Euros, so the first account I opened with adwords was in Euro.
I thought I was making money, but I was using us guides, us products, so my commissions were in us dollars.

I opened a new account in us dollars, and all calculations are made in dollars I get charged my debit visa account in Euros after google converts the dollars to euro.

With Euros I couldn't get as low as 0.02 us cents.

If you are selling your products locally you should have everything in the same currrency. If you are working globally as you should , work in us dollars.

    Hi Rogerbeta,

I got your point, but you can see in my case the scenario is the opposite. Value of INR < USD while in your case Euro > USD . ( I can even get $0.009, [off-course,if they exist :)] if i transact in INR]
So what do you suggest now??

Use dollars if you receive your commissions/profit in dollars.
