Reg. DP Signature help in ranking

is dp signature help increasing the rank of health related topic. Any suggestion?

 

Sure your keywords will get a boost..Try to post or ask questions in related forums ..
@evid ..For health and travel ,i don't know it will help or not . But each backlink is important in some other means ..

A big site like DP or Sitepoint are crawled many times a day not once a month.

also - do you have any evidence to say that - Google in particular starts considering links after about 4-6 month of knowing about them (aging process).

 

i'm starting to think that forum posting with sig links only hurts, and that's because it creates a huge pages of multiple back links to other websites of other people replies, for example this page stats:
External links: 73 / Internal links: 452 / Total: 525

 

The source code of THIS PAGE is riddled with nofollows but the sigs seem to be dofollow.
The links will help your search engine positions if you use targeted anchor text.

 

so out of a total of 525 OBL from a PR 0 page - what kind of link value do you expect to get?

Close to zero, isnt it? that will translate into a very low quality link, but a link neverthless but one which will not help in SERP's!

 

personally, don't put too much effort on DP signatures as they contain very little value

whether it helps too much or not but you definitely get some people following your signature
and thus gives some more traffic
