What is CPM? How it is calculated? Is it calculated on daily basis? Is there any limits or mandatory numbers for a day etc. Are we getting money even if there is no clicks? Thanks in advance.
In roman numerals M means 1000 so it is Cost per 1000 impressions you get. Its calculated Factor = Total Impressions/1000 CPM = Total Earnings/Factor yes its based on current calculations. Yes we get money even for no clicks if some advertiser is targetting our site thru adwords site targetted campaign.
In AdSense, we use the term eCPM, or Effective Cost per 1000 Impressions. "... effective CPM represents your estimated earnings for every 1000 impressions you receive." "... it's calculated by dividing your earnings by number of page impressions, then multiplying by 1000." It is calculated by any range of dates you want. (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, all time). There are no limits to what your eCPM can be... but what do you mean by mandatory numbers? And we do not get money for 0 clicks. (In the above post, it says we do, but I have never seen it) The sentences in quotes above are taken directly from AdSense Help. You can get most of your questions answered there.
Thank you both for your reply mates. I got 212 impressions yesterday but my ecpm shows 0 and click are 0. And reg. mandatory numbers: I got only 200 impressions yesterday. Since it is less than 1000 impression on that day my ecpm is 0 or what? Is our impressions should be 1000 per day to get some income through ecpm? That's what I am asking about
it is a simple formula, just apply it !! Mong is right you can get rev without a single click, ask shawn here, most of dp income is from site targetting (you earn based on the number of impressions and the amount of money people targetting you site are willing to pay for every 1000 impressions). I doubt your site is targetted, so if you have 0 clicks you will have 0 CTR and 0 eCPM. remember 0 multiplied by anything (another then infinity) is still 0
