refunding & cc fraud

I had a guy that ordered, then refunded a few days later. then he came back and ordered our other ebook, using a similar email address, but a completely different name. I caught it because I always email refunds (all 3 LOL) to find out if the person who refunded has any complaints or suggestions...

Well, he emailed back from the SECOND email address using the same name as the first refund. But as a publisher, I get the name used on the credit card, and the name was different... He was very rude and said I was violating ClickBank's "no questions asked" policies. I am thinking it may actually be credit card fraud. Similar email addresses, two different names, and he promised he would be refunding the second item because "I found out I don't like the customer service jobs..."

I forwarded all the information to ClickBank, I hope they don't get angry with me for it. I was polite and explained that I worry when we get refunds. And I was clear I am not asking for the money back...

Any idea how CB handles these sorts of things? I have a feeling he's an affiliate for CB that was actually on another message board talking about how easy it is to refund with CB (I can trace where he bought from and it's definitely that website, since I know the affiliate he bought from personally...and the person I suspect it is is a chronic message board flamer and loves the MLM stuff...)

Fantastic research work though i cannot offer any help.Somewhere i read people buy to duplicate the e books and then get the refund. I feel some valid reasons need to be mentioned before one can refund. That "no questions asked"clause is not intended to be misused at least.

    Hey there

Just as an update, I forwarded the information to ClickBank, and they have banned this user by IP address from the system. That was pretty cool of them and happened rather quickly. It was also cool of them to let me know.

Nice they responded like that the only problem is if all they did was ban them by IP address that will do little help for someone that wants to continue what they are doing. with some internet services you get a new IP address each time you log on and if you have the same one it is very easy to change.
