So I was here like 2 weeks ago and I got such wonderful help I thougt I should come here asking for help again!

Anyway, so my problem is this: http://iamrogue-gfx.com/IAR2

This was mainly made so I could test my coding etc. Anyway, I need to know how I can make it so that whenever I hit i.e. "Contact Me" the whole page won't refresh but the content changes, not the header, footer nor sidebar. I've seen it in a lot of portfolios and I'd love to have mine functioning like that

If you don't understand what I mean please do, tell me and I'll try to explain it a little better ;)

Sorry for my English lol :D

Yes, AJAX is definitely the best way to go, but keep in mind that ajax is not a language but a combination of different languages and techniques. In order to implement ajax technology you need to be quite familiar with html, CSS, java script and possibly some xml. I'm sure you will be able to find a working example script somewhere but if you run into difficulties you can always use the old fashioned IFRAME tag :)

What exactly do you mean that AJAX is not a language?

To be exact AJAX stands for asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Once again it's a combination of HTML/CSS for styling and display and most often javascript to access the object and display it dynamically. To put it simply it's a technology not a language. In order to learn how to develop applications using ajax (technology) you need to be quite fluent in the HTML, CSS and Javascript (languages)

I'm not sure if this is the best example but take a novel book for instance. In order to write a book(ajax) you need to use lets say the english language ( JS) but you also need to use other techniques like sentence structure ( HTML) and punctuation (CSS)

I hope this helps you a little bit if you want to get involved with AJAX.

AJAX is definetly the best way to go. With a little research you'd be implementing ajax in no time, and the investment will really be worth it as its a really good skill to have in your skillset :)

    good luck
