So when you refer somebody, you get 10% of their weight. When that person that you refered, in turn, refers somebody, do you get 10% of their weight as well?
Quick question, the referred person's weight is not reduced by the 10% right?, you just get what would equal to 10% of their weight. Is this correct?
The referred person's weight *is* reduced by 10%. Not an ideal referreral system, but otherwise, people would refer their own sites and create 10% bonuses out of nowhere.
doesn't strike me as a very fair refferal system, if I 'refer' you to ebay, I can get a commision, but they aren't going to charge you more for what you buy...
Shawn discussed this in a thread a long time ago. The problem is that if the 10% is a pure bonus to you, it would encourage people to set up lots of sites and refer themselves. (I agree it doesn't seem fair, but Shawn's main concern is keeping the quality of the sites in the network high) "Then why would anyone give credit to their referrer?" I'm sure 99% of people don't know they have 'been referred' to the Network. The process is done without the new member knowing about it.
So if you refer somebody, do you get 10% of their weight even after they have referred somebody or even after their site increases? Or just 10% of their weight at sign up?
You get 10% of their base weight (which does not include their referrals) permanently. Meaning if their weight goes up after they sign up, your referral bonus goes up as well.
