I just read in a thread that you can encourage people to click on your referral to download firefox. Can I make a blog post about firefox and encourage people to click the referral link or is this against terms? Cheers
Never Encourage people to click on your ads, even using referrals. What you can do is to tell the advantage of the product encouraging them to use it placing a ad or text link close or with your text content - but never ask them to click your referral ads: this is against TOS.
You can never encourage someone to click on the ad. You can do a blog post and you can mention how great the service is by asking or encouraging someone to click is against the TOS even for referrals.
Referrals are different than content ads, you can tell them clicking on the ad is necessary to download the product unless you misinform them about what they'll get(i.e.download to access free xxx pics). Because not only they have to click on your ad, but 1. they have to click yours 2. click another link in the next page. 3. Download and and follow the instructions in the setup After these it counts as a conversion, not just when they click on your ads.
You are both WRONG you are allowed to to ask people to click on a refferal link. from the adsense blog "Add your seal of approval: Unlike AdSense for content ads, our program policies allow you to make specific references to referral ads on your site. If you endorse the product that you are referring, feel free to let your users know. By adding your personal review of the products you refer, you can help your users make more informed choices" please make sure you know what you're talking about before you post.
Yes, both of you are right - you can not encourage to click the ads only for deceptive porpuses: Thanks for the advice -- But all of us make mistakes.
U can public your review about fire fox on download.com (daily download blogs) and set your refferals on that article i earned with this metod 2$ with reviw picasa !!!!
What you just quoted from adsense is what I said. I stated that you can blog about which is the same as giving an endorsement for the program but you can not outright ask someone to click on your ad. Nothing you quoted says different than what I said nor is it worth giving someone red rep when you are quoting the same thing. Writing a review and telling someone please click my link is two different things so maybe you should be sure of something before you post it or before you start giving out red rep to people. Thanks again for the red rep and I returned it five fold.
