Referrer check (like first click free)

    Hi
Part of our site is availble to the public, the other content requires membership. Since we want the member only content to show up in SERPs, we're using a refererrer check which works in a similar way to First Click Free. As you navigate the site and attempt to click on a member only page it checks if last page referrer was our own and if so blocks access (or if arriving from an external link gives access). Does anyone have any concerns about this method for the SEs? The site uses maps so they'll know about every page, but the spider won't be able to traverse the site to every page. Are there any implications?
    Thank you

make sure that every "not free page" is linked from a free page. this way your first click free has most effect.
