Referrals from Comcast Search

I have a site that ranks for a keyword in Google. Today I started getting a ton of traffic from Google-supplied search results at search.comcast.net -- several times more than I do from Google proper, even though the rankings are the same on both.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this just a result of Comcast's wide exposure?

While I see a smattering of traffic come in from Comcast, I have not seen any big jump up. Comcast is a very popular ISP, so if they did something "tricky" like re-direct Google to their own search engine (doubt they would do), that might account for a bump-up.

Curious if you figure out what this was ...

The reason may be that comcast use particular google datacenter in those your site rank very well.

I am finding this same traffic. It appears that Comcast's search results are pulled directly from Googles SERPS; including my "Sponsored Links". This is why you have visitors from Comcast.

Search your keyphrase at: http://search.comcast.net; and then also search it at Google. I did this, and my results are IDENTICAL.

    Hope this helps...

The traffic died down the next day -- yeah, I'm thinking it's just a fluke and the Comcast SERP just got pulled in the middle of a Google dance.
