Could someone please help me with is issue. Since I set up the ad network co-op I've started to receive referrals from adult sites. There seems to be two possibilities:- 1: Webmasters who run both non-adult and adult-sites are using all sites to build their weight numbers. This would appear to be OK as I would still get a link ad but I wouldn't get adult site links on my squeaky clean website... 2: Porn sites are in the Co-Op and I risk having porn site links on my pages. Personally I have not seen any evidence of this whatsoever. The adult site referrals must be the result of the Co-Op as they never came before and I don't exchange links with adult sites. Do I risk having adult sites being listed on my site via the Co-Op. Thanks.
are you sure they arn't just referal spam that you never noticed before I have paid more attention to the logs of the site I have enrolled in coop, and it made me notice more referer spam
The site I'm using the ads on www.shelteroffshore.com is new and just starting to push up the search engines so it may well be the case that I'm simply seeing more spam referrals at the same time as I've started using the Co-Op because the spammers are starting to find the site. Should soon start getting emails for discount ink refills!! I have taken more notice of referrals which often do come from the most bizare sites. My only concern really is the risk of seeing anything a little dubious appearing on my text links.
