As we all know, getting clicks is hard but getting actions from clicks is even harder. This is exactly what referrals 2.0 are about. My point is as follows: to achieve a decent number of clicks many adsense publishers suffer hardships, I can't even imagine what it would be for them to try and get actions. Let's look at some numbers: with a monthly 30k impressions, a 2% CTR you get 600 clicks Now if you convert all your ads to CPA you should get 600 clicks (that pay nothing) and look at a second indicator (conversion rate) to know about your income. With a conversion rate of about 2% you get 12 Actions. Conclusions / Questions: - more difficult to forcast, could be 10, 12, 14... because it is a small number and variations are naturally larger - will average RPA be at least 50 times the average RPC to maintain the same income? - will you get any conversions at all? (small publisher with less than 100 clicks will hardly ever get any clicks) However, all the above inconvinients disapear if you are running à 200k impressions website thus making referrals an elite product just the opposite of what made adsense CPC so popular. What do you think? Do I have sth wrong? Did you have any results using referrals 2.0? Will the new referrals survive in these conditions?
I have just been selected for Referrals and I came on this forum specifically to find out more about them. I am not too sure if they would work for me so I too would like to have some feedback from anyone who has used them. I need more information on how they work before I try them.
