I haven't found a referral program for this site.

Can someone provide the exact url ... Or, is that part
    still being developed ?

    Thanks.

What do you mean by a "referral program for this site"?

The more well known concept is an ' affiliate program '

Are you one of the admin. ?

    Thanks.

LOL - no I am not an admin. Just a "grunt". :) I'm sure digitalpoint will get back to you on whether or not an affiliate program is planned or not.

I don't see how an affiliate program would be beneficial for this forum, so I doubt one will be implimented. But, as Dazzlindonna said, only Digitalpoint will be able to give you the final answer on that. By the way...Where is Digitalpoint :D ?

I don't see why anyone would want to incorporate an affiliate program for a forum either, but maybe he's talking about an affiliate program for Optigold. I can't imagine any other possibility.

Well, since we don't sell subscriptions, I don't see much value in it. Unless you are thinking of something else?

Confused even the master of the Universe.. ;) Perhaps an Optigold affiliate program- could see it being moderatly successful.

I think he's talking about Adsense. You need to configure it in your User Cp and then go to Options.

Since this site has implemented a revenue sharing forum,
an affiliate program is not actually neccessary.

    Want details ? Ask.

Still curious what you meant though... Like paying people to refer people to a free forum? Doesn't seem like a really great idea (for me at least).

At another forum I am a member of, they have an in-site points system in place...

If you refer people to the site, you get extra points (you also get points for posting).

You can then use those points in the site store to purchase a number of things...

    check it out...

    http://www.devdreams.com

    It's pretty new.

Maybe that is what was being refered to.

Hey, I'd be happier with cold hard cash for posting on a forum that I love (i.e. this one!)

Yeah, but it's a pretty good way of building repeat visits.

I don't really think you need to get ANYTHING though.

I learn so much from places like this, that's all the return I need.
