Referral fee cap + 3rd party fees

    Hi,

I keep reading how people say that there is a referral fee cap on high priced items when using the performance model on Amazon affiliates. I'm just curious as to where people get this from?

The explanation for the performance fees on amazon's help pages says:
It also says consumer electronics get a flat 4% fee, which is outside the increasing rate of the performance model.

So either they aren't telling the truth on the help pages or I'm missing something.

The other thing is the third party sales which I've read from these forums do give a referral fee. However, it says on the same help pages that:
So if I refer a sale for an item which is listed on amazons details page as e.g. "Ships from and sold by Crutchfield.", do I get a referral fee for it?

I personally don't have any experience on these matters yet, so anyone with actual experience would be kind to advise.

    Thanks

Yes, you do get paid for that as it's a 3rd party sale.

    Those are the exceptions.

There are no referral fee caps except those mentioned by Amazon (Unbox and Computers).
