Referral 2.0? Is this new?

I just noticed a "notice" on the main adsense page when i login it says something about referral 2.0 is this the google CPA program or what is it exactly? I don't really understand what it does can anyone fill me in thanks..

 

Yes, it's just come out of beta. I think they started it in March and have already got it out of beta and it's now available to all adsense publishers or will be soon if you don't currently have it.

It's the CPA version of AdWords for AdSense. Unlike regular AdSense, you can make direct reference to the links with overt reviews of the product and or offering. However, I have a hard time believing that everyone who has posted thus far wasn't aware of it since every signature line, including mine have SEO related links in them : >

wondering how come so many publisher still dont have it. I got it enabled on 29th june.

 

just this morning I got a congratulations message saying I can now use adsense 2.0 seems ok, there trying to compete with cj and azoogle with referrals.

 

I plan on giving it a try... we will see I guess

 

I just placed it on http://www.kidsandbibs.com homepage. But not sure, how many such referrals we can place on a page. Is there any limit to such units like the ad units. Any ideas?

 

I am wondering if google will be so strict with the invalid impressions and clicks with this program.. as normally most CPA affiliate programs dont care at all where the traffic comes from as long as it converts even if they are no ethical methods... yet im wondering if google will crack down on these type of affiliates.. as it is still part of the adsense program as i can tell it will be interesting to see how this CPA part of google performs
