Hi; Form last 2 or 3 months my Google Analytics account shows fewer referring traffic than earlier. My Referring sources is also going down. Anyone have an idea?
Referring sites traffic refer to a traffic which you are getting from social bookmarking, directory, facebook, twitter and many more. One of reason for dropping your referring site visitor may be that you would have been stop doing off page activities like bookmarking, directory, article, blog commentin and forum posting. Do all this activity continuously your traffic will increase.
Referral traffic is the traffic thats arriving at your website from another web source. It may includes social bookmarking sites, Article Sites, Blog Sites, Classified Sites, Forum Sites, Paid Links, Banner Links, Social Networking sites. As you said your refering sites traffic goes down then you first analyze your refering sites stats then do the work on that sites from which your traffic going down.
I am doing some off page activity on regular bases but Traffic not increasing. Is there any social media activity which I should follow on daily basis?
Either of the 2 can happen; i) You might have less used Referring Resources than earlier or ii) Sites which you used might have changed (for instance, some sites turn paid from free and offer more benefits to premium members which were availed by everyone earlier including free members.)
referrals source can be drop easily once you are no more active on the social media/forum etc. It can be also due to your backlink page was removed from the homepage etc.
