Can I write on my blog:
This website works better in firefox (it realy does).
And then have firefox ad under this sentence?

Or would this be against TOS?

    So would that be allowed.
Because I would almost be saying: click here to download.
    ??

There is no problem in telling people to download firefox and then have the button. How else do you think people are going to actually download it? Since you get paid for conversion in this case there is no problem with telling people to click.

With normal adsense ads you get paid per click but the advertiser still only makes money when they convert that click to a sale - so in that case advising people to click is not in the advertisers interest. In the case of downloads: no problem.

Uhhh sorry to burst your bubble, but if you read the TOS, it explicitly says that referrals are to be treated the same as content ads in every respect - if you extrapolate that out, it means DO NOT TELL PEOPLE TO CLICK OR DOWNLOAD THE REFERRALS!

... also.. several months ago i sent an email to Adsense support asking them about a particular method i was using to promote my firefox referrals.. they replied that my method was fine, as long as i did not directly ask vistors to click on the download button ..

So to the OP; it's fine to say that your site runs better on Firefox.. it's fine to say that Firefox is the best browser in the world.. it's fine to say that firefox is free.. but do NOT SAY CLICK HERE DOWNLOAD FIREFOX ..

I have my Firefox button just below the sidebar title, "Get Firefox".
Is it ok too for that? Check it out at my blog's sidebar.

    Thanks.

I'm too new to this to offer proper advice but I did the same thing (for about 2 hours). I had the text "Get Firefox for free" just above the Referral image link, very similar to yours.

Then I read the paragraph I just posted above and removed it very quickly. I could be wrong but I see that as: "This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads."
