Reduce number of ad units and get higher income, $2.27 a click

I placed 3 ad units in every page in my website and was getting lower income. Yesterday I removed 1 ad unit from every pages and today I got $2.27 for one click, this is my highest income ever for one click. Is to true in your case or just a miracle?

 

yeah... less ads .. always give high cpc ...

for less number of ads,CPC will be maximum.

 

Follow up: it happened for the second day also. Today I got highest $0.67 for one click, although less then yesterday but still much higher then my previous income. So my advice is to use less ad contents but place them in right location where you get most of the clicks. It will also not be a good experience for users to see page full of ads.
