Reduce filesize for animated GIF (banner) online-Free website

Hi there:

I was wanting to use a banner ad from a Commission Junction Advertiser on the Google network in placement targeted advertising. Unfortunately the banner size in Google must be under 50k and the banner I wanted to use was about 60.

I tried a few programs to reduce the size but it stuffed up the animation. I found this site: http://www.gifworks.com/cgi-bin/gifworks.pl?com=transfer_open

It is free and I was able to upload my gif and reduce the colors, maintain the animation and get the file size down. There are some other utilities you can use here a pretty good site.

great sharing.size of gif is a major problem.
So will try this from now.

 

Finally. Something that actually works! Great find.

Everything else I've tried made my images look like crap.
