    Hey,
    I am an author of geeks4share :)

    What is bounce rate?
Bounce rate is the total no.of people who quits your site with just one page view. If your site has high bounce rate then you will experience low page views and pageviews per user. Low page views will affect your page impressions. So, this will affect your site more that’s why I wrote this article. This will help you to decrease your bounce rate and effectively increase your pageviews per user and page impressions.

    #1 Use related topic widget

If you are running a blog or a forum use related topic widget or plugin. Make the widget appear at the end of each post. So, whenever a user finishes reading your article, he will be shown some related topics which he/she might have a good interest, if he/she visits another page then bounce rate will decrease.

    #2 Interlink blog posts
Try to add links of other blog topics inside your post but just don’t add links of unrelated topics, because this will irritate the users. So make sure you add related topic’s link inside posts.

Eg- If you are talking about use of newsletter then add links to topic like “How to add newsletter”. If your reader does not have an newsletter system on his blog, then after reading the uses of newsletter he might feel like adding a newsletter system so they might click on the links. Which will help you in lowering the bounce rate.

    #3 Give what they want
Satify your visitors by providing what they are looking for. So this will help your visitor develop their interest in your site, so they are chance for them to search for other topics. Which will also help you in reducing the bounce rate.

#4 Show Most Viewed topic or the hottest topic in your site
Put most viewed topic on your homepage(sidebar). So when the develop interest in your site they will visit your hottest topic in most cases.

#5 Use clean, easy navigation and attractive theme
Some bright colored, eye paining themes will scare your visitors from your site, so make sure you have a clean and an attractive theme and also make sure that your site is easy navigable site. Do whatever your know to make your visitors feel comfortable on your site.

If you have reduced your bounce rate then share “what was the difference in pageviews and impressions” through your comments

Interesting read, thanks for sharing it. IMO people 'bounce' when there's nothing left to keep them interested in the site. There has to be a 'selling point' or something unique that people WANT. When a site lacks that, it loses its visitors really fast.

    Hey Exilonv
Even though the site has unique and attractive contents, it should be able to make their visitors see those content. That can be done with search bar and related post. There are other ways too... but i trust only these two :)

Bounce rate increases are not always a bad thing. If you get a sudden surge in traffic that somehow arrives at your site for a search term unrelated to your niche then you're going to get an increased bounce rate. If your traffic is stable and your bounce rate is increasing drastically then you should start to worry.
