I'm not sure what codec your avi file is encoded in, but you can also try autoGK

in such situations i usually change the format, using a special tool-VidLogo by geovid.com. it's a program for adding logo to video files, but it has such an option to convert formats too.i think it can be useful.

Is there a reason to stay in the .avi format?

If not, encode it in some other more compact format.

The only reason to stay in .avi is to preserve a dv codec for editing, etc.

But for distribution look at flash, mpg, wmv, mov, etc.

Most windows computers come with "windows movie maker", open it in that then save it at what ever file size you want.

How shall i cut a .avi file ?
I have tried many AVI Cutters. They all don't cut the audio. So the whole file gets spoilt.
