Redirects

    I have a domain that I am not using and I would like to forward it to point to one of my very large domains. Is using a 301 redirect safe from a SEO standpoint. No penalization, duplicate content etc…

    Yes, imho, using a straight 301 redirect in the .htaccess is the best and safest way to go.

    can any free domain hosting companies do a 301 redirect?

    I own a few URL's that i would like pointed to a live website.

    Yup - at least, the ones I deal with do.

    And as Monty says - a 301 is definitely the best option with regard to SEO.

    can anybody recomend some free hosting companies that have the possiblity of doing 301's with. This will save me a ton of headache.
