Redirects question

I have a static website that I wish to change to a dynamic one. Consequently, the urls are going to change for each page. As I understand it, this will result in the new pages being sandboxed.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this? What about 301 redirects or whatever they are called? If I use one of these for each page, do I have to do them immediately? How long does Google give before consigning your page to the rubbish heap?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Wonderful advice

I don't understnad very well what you need, but it sounds like you are looking to do a modrewrite with your pages... Nintendo is an expert in that, maybe he can jump in and give his opinion

e.g. I have static page products.htm. After modifications this page will become products/index.php?x=4

So, when search engines come a running they won't find it and will deindex my page. Therefore, I want to show them the page has moved.

    1. How long before Google deindexes? Does it come back say for 3 times and then deindexes that page? Or what?

    2. How do I point them to the new page with the same content?
