Redirects or Pre-sell landing page for Article Marketing?

I was about to start a bum marketing campaign and I am on the fence about whether to redirect to the sales page or send them to my landing page first to pre-sell the person.

I'm thinking that the less they have to click, the more likely they are to buy. If I send them to my own pre-sell page, I first need to get them there in the first place and then I need to get them to click through to the sales page so I will most likely be losing potential visitors to the sales page.

I know the answer can be different depending on a few different factors such as quality of the article, landing page, etc., but I'm just wondering what you all have had the best success with if you've done a bum marketing campaign.

    Thanks for the help.

I have best results sending them to a video squeeze page with optin and I offer a free video in exchange for email. Then that redirects them to my sales page etc with the free video. this way I can now sell them over and over again. much better results this way.

Yeah that's a good idea and something that a lot of other people don't really mention. Do you have good success with getting them to buy right after they opt in or does it usually take a few emails?

And not to try and get you to reveal your exact strategies or anything but what kind of video do you usually make them in return for their email address. I have an idea for some markets but others it seems like it would be tough to make a video about.

    Thanks for your help.

I think this should be a thing of experimenting. You need to find out what works best for your site. While some may find it profitable pre-selling others won't.
