    Hi All,

    I Have a little confusion -

have a site with the HTML extension and PR 5 for home page.

now in case if we change the extension from html to shtml and redirect the old ones to new ones would there any impact on Page rank? PR will go or will be the same.?

    Thanks...

if it's on an Apache server you could add to your .htaccess

    AddHandler server-parsed .html .htm
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes
    Code (markup):
that should allow SSI in .html files

does it mean - we can change the page's extension without loosing the page rank

for example my home page is - sitename/index.html

and i want it to be like sitename/index.shtml

would page rank remain same or i may loose it?

You may lose it for a little while, but then it will likely re-establish itself.
